The Role

We have an opening for a Software Engineer in our WIN division, which designs and manufactures next generation inspection tools for Wafer inspection. Based in Chennai, India, the Software Engineer will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:

Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of Common Film Shape software.

• Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of Inspector software and Analysis sub-system
• Do requirements analysis, architectural analysis, design, develop and unit testing
• Do feasibility analysis of new features for complex software
• Co-ordinate with engineering, marketing and application groups to innovate software analysis solutions designed to address specific customer needs
• Co-ordinate with other teams across the globe
• Acquire knowledge of key use cases in defect inspection using WIN tools
• Follow KT defined software development processes (CMM)

The requirements

Required: Minimum 3 or more years of experience with
Required: Strong academics in BE / B Tech / MTech / MCA / MS (CS/IT)
Required: Strong in programming fundamentals, C++, VC++
Required: Good analytical and problem solving abilities
Required: Thorough knowledge of SDLC and software engineering
Required: Good communication skills
Optional: Experience in .Net and C#
Optional: Experience in COM
Optional: Experience in defining requirements
Optional: Knowledge of CMM or other process models
Optional: Knowledge of KT specific or general semiconductor domain
