KLA-Tencor has an opening for an Associate Software Test Engineer for our FaST Division. FaST provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Required: BE/BS/BTech degree with 3-5 years of SW Testing experience in Manual and Automation
2. Required: Thorough knowledge of SDLC and software engineering
3. Required: Experience in developing Test Cases , Quality Metrics
4. Required: Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and project management in both the business and the technical areas, with the ability to keep discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction.
5. Required: Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking.
6. Required: Willingness to travel to US and other customer places on short assignments.
7. Preferred: Experience in Test Automation tools and Scripting tools like Perl,VbScript,etc
8.Optional:Understanding of SW Design,Architecture,OOAD Concepts
9.Optional: Knowledge of CMM or other process models
Job Resposibilities:
- Responsibilities include full participation in the software development life cycle to establish test scenarios for proving the functionality and robustness of the software created.
- Interact with other multi site team members (India, Israel amp; USA) during software product life cycle for requirement analysis, Test plan preparation and testing.
- Experience with large software systems / tool applications is preferred.
- Work with hardware and systems/application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software testing needs.
- Participate in all stages of software development including deployment/trouble shooting at customer sites.
- Should be willing to travel to customer sites as well as work during day and graveyard shift on a rotational basis.
- Ability to technically interact with Algorithms , System Engineering,Application Engineering,Marketing and Manufacturing,Customer Support team for Various needs across the globe
- Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or co-ordinates verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
- Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.
- Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards.
- Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements.
- Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective actio
Qualification / Education Desired:
- B.E/M.E/M.Tech/M.C.A
- 3+ years of work experience.
- Software quality control experience using CMM process / Methodology preferred.
- Good Communication, Inter personnel skills and Team co-ordination skills required.
- Quick learner, problem analysis and solving ability are essential - Should be able to work Smart and also Hard
