KLA-Tencor has an opening for an Associate Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer for our Candela Division. Candela provides wafer inspection for compound semiconductors and LED, disk inspection for the data storage industry, and the surface metrology group providing stylus and optical profilers to a wide range of industries including semiconductor, LED, data storage, and general purpose markets
Job Resposibilities:
- The successful candidate will have a track record of academic and professional success as well as technical innovation.
- He/she will be part of a software team in KLA-Tencor's Candela Division with responsibility for the design, coding and unit testing of software in the area of high level of machine control, business logic, and GUI for a series of surface metrology tools, and Disk and Wafer Inspection systems.
- He/She should be an effective team player and be able to work independently on problems. The successful candidate will work with hardware, applications and marketing groups to understand system/marketing requirements and map them to software design.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BE / ME / M.Tech / M.Sc / MCA in computer science or a related field.
- 5 years of software development experience using C++/C# in industry environment.
- Experience in Object-Oriented and multi-threaded software design and development is essential.
- Technical competency with C# and C++ in the Windows programming environment and experience with large software systems is required.
- Experience with machine control/device driver is a plus.
- Experience with professional UI design is also a plus.
