We have an opening for a Software Engineer in our EBEAM division, which designs and manufactures Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) wafer inspection and review equipment. Based in Chennai, India, the Software Engineer will be responsible for:
· Participating in all facets of software development, from analysis to deployment.
· Collaborating with teams across different geographical zones to drive/develop/deliver software solutions
· Developing software components for semiconductor tools using object oriented analysis and design, implementation using C/C++/Microsoft Visual C++, MFC/COM, .Net/C#.
· Providing technical expertise to the estimation process as input to the project plan
· Ensuring that detailed designs, code, and unit tests are consistent, robust, future-proof and scalable.
· Handling software sustenance activities
· Following KT defined software development processes
Qualifications/Skills
Ø Required: Good academics. BE/BS/BTech/MS/MTech degree in Computer Science/SW Engg/Electronics/Electrical Engg.
Ø Required: 3 or more years of SW development experience.
Ø Required: Strong in programming fundamentals, C, C++, MFC, COM, C#/.Net and OOAD
Ø Required: Must be able to work with hardware and systems/application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software design.
Ø Required: Experience with CMM, UML, Rational Suite, Clearcase
Ø Required: Thorough knowledge of SDLC and software engineering
Ø Required: Need excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ø Required: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ø Preferred: Experience in WPF/WinForms, .Net Remoting, Interprocess communication and Multithreaded Applications
Ø Preferred: Experience with Machine control, Factory Automation or Embedded SW
Ø Optional: Knowledge of CMM or other process models
Ø Optional: Knowledge of KT specific or general semiconductor domain
